You can never have enough...
lol Zoe, yep, heaven help me if we don't do 'the rounds'. He was a tad off colour this morning, even not letting me pat him. We still did the rounds, but you could see his heart wasn't in it. But by 10.00am, whatever was bugging him was over and he was nagging to do the rounds again. Obviously the first time round wasn't acceptable. And of course, it had to be raining.

Just heard on Al Jazeera, the Jimmy Kimmel Show has been axed as the powers-that-be didn't like his comments over the death of that right wing, racist, bigot. It must be exhausting being an American.

First Stephen Colbert, then Jimmy. Still, that might be the spur those guys need to start their own channel. I'd subscribe to that.

I like that people say what they want.

But those getting things taken down should just pull their heads in. They will start their own channels for sure.

Well it turns out the back tap was leaking, but also my bills have been estimates done wrong.. so Im waiting to hear from Robynn as to how we will divi the big bill.

Just had a catch up from David. As per typical the manager didn't even pop in and see Colleen before she left on Monday. She has no heart that woman.

One of the dear oldies is just on palliative care now. She must be coming up to 104 I think. Cos she turned 100 near the start of covid. she was a lovely old lady. very prim and proper still.

OH Dianne's head is really showing the signs of the struggle. She still has some hair by her ears, so wearing the hat I had made for her today you wouldn't have known she has very little at the back. But she is staying positive.. she kept saying she had to pay for it. I said no you dont.. I said you spoil me Im allowed to spoil you lol... if she knew how much I paid for it she would hit the roof lol..

To top it off tho I found a cool key ring for her for her birthday in November. I suppose you could say its Steam Punk cos its a little man made of different metal pieces and there are odd pieces of metal some look like cogs from watches, some metal tool bits etc. She has a Man standing in her garden that she made out of old Garden tools etc. I know she will love this... if I can keep it a secret until then lol

And we got lunch but didn't have time for lunch.. BUT she also brought two Chocolate eclairs and we managed to get those in before I had to go to the appointment. And they were soooo good.

And the result of the appointment is closing the last chapter of the MrP book.. And once it happens I will be totally sorted.. I have to get some stuff printed out, but once that's done Im all good.. And I cant stop smiling lol..

I don't envy you Zoe - a 13 year old! Interesting times, that's for sure.

I have no clue where the day went - did a bit more digging first thing after doing some washing, then moved tomato plants into larger pots ready for when they're big enough to plant, took Madame le Dog for the compulsory walk, came home & managed to finish the digging & get the first beans planted after lunch.
Came in & did a bit more painting & suddenly happened to glance at the time - ten past 3!

Indeed - if that isn't fascism in America, then they're doing a damn fine imitation of exactly that. I hope they do start their own channel.

In the comment about the tv people... I meant  I hope the people do start their own channel and the ones that stopped them now wont be able to touch them.. That should shut them up

morning ladies Smile Those big black clouds look a amazing with the sun shining behind them.

Early last evening our son facetimed us from Kyoto. He had some time and was out shopping. I get, hi mum and dad, look at this! And he's in a sewing shop with rows and rows and rows and rows and rows (you get the picture) of embroidery thread. Beautiful jewels of colour all hanging begging to be stitched. The lady who owned the shop was laughing so hard at my reaction lol. I was omg omg omg lol, loooook at that! He asked me to pick what I wanted, I had no idea lol. So have left it to the shop owner to decide. He phoned back later to have a better chat and said the poor woman was so confused when this big burly kiwi guy walked into her shop lol. He explained via Google translate he wanted to buy a present for his mother. She was delighted and he was treated like an honoured guest. And it helped that Monday was the annual holiday Respect Your Elders Day, so this was fresh in her mind. NOT that I am elderly lol Tongue Nice isn't it, they have a day for oldies. Theres also a Young Persons Day in their spring Smile as well. He has also bought a gift for MrK and both gifts will be posted when he gets back to Perth. He's decided there is no way on this green earth you would get him to live in Tokyo. Waaaaaay too many people. He's a lot like me and hates crowds. But is loving Kyoto and says it has a kiwi vibe to it. They are off to Osaka today. He hasn't completely converted to Australian lol. When the lady asked where was he from he said NZ Big Grin Big Grin You can take the kiwi out of NZ but not NZ out of the kiwi Heart

MrK's PC is coming this morning, a different lady as his usual lady is away today. Housework for me and I need to go to the supermarket for low fiber food as MrK preps for this colonoscopy. Looking at the list of what he can eat, we realised just how high fiber our diet is. I haven't bought white bread for years. Neither of us are looking forward to this as MrK is so slow using his walker. He's worried he will miss the loo. Will just have to deal with things as they happen.

Time to get cracking and face the day Smile

Doing a duty for the other quilt guild I belong to. Johnsonville  shopping centre is letting guild use 2 empty shops for quilt exhibition so I on this morning,  then rest day is mine Big Grin

Hi everybody - know exactly how you felt Kiwimaid- I went on a couple of tours in Japan of silk embroiderer and thread shoos - spent most of the time in tears
Kiwimaide if your son has a chance to pop into a stationer - your grandchildren would love the paint or pencil sets - they package them in the cutest containers mainly tin - my boys still have several I brought back 50 years later - cheap as chips and easy to just poke into the corner of a suitcase - the paint and pencil colours mirrored the spectacular thread colours
If ever you win lotto or have an unexpected  windfall buy yourself a silk tour ticket

oohhhh lucky you, mica. MrK wouldn't know what end of the vacumn to use lol. Yes, I think I was just overwhelmed by all the choices and without a specific project in mind, it was hard to decide.

Only the floors to do Smile The spiders are back and have been evicted. Once they start paying rent by catching flies I may reconsider Tongue

Morning everyone

Its sort of sunny here. Slightly cooler than yesterday.

I evicted the tenants in the front porch yesterday while waiting for Dianne. I have a black tin fence all around and they are covered in cobwebs, but Im leaving them for Halloween lol.. Then Ill start taking them down. And it will take a while cos they are heavy thick ones. Inside and out.

Lovely your son thought of you KM.. Glad he is enjoying the trip.

Im going to have a please myself day. I have dishes to do but Ill probably paint later.

I need to find some inspiration. Have just sort of been drifting.

Have a fab day all.
